History of Van Ierssel Timber Import

Van Ierssel Houtimport was founded in the late 19th century, in the year 1880, as a wagon, wheelbarrow, and wheel maker. The associated sawmill received increasingly specialized sawing orders from farmers, carpenters, and contractors from the wider area around Etten-Leur.

National and international

In 1968, the company moved to its current location at Nijverheidsweg 1 in Etten-Leur. Until the late 1970s, we primarily sawed oak, elm, and ash. After this period, we also started sawing and trading tropical hardwoods. Van Ierssel Houtimport has a national and international orientation.

Our customers can count on our extensive expertise. Sustainability, quality, and reliability are always our top priorities. In 1986, Van Ierssel Houtimport was acquired by Boogaerdt Hout. Consequently, Van Ierssel Houtimport and Boogaerdt Hout are part of the Koninklijke Boogaerdt Groep holding company. The other companies in this group are Boogaerdt France and Royal Deck.
