Sapupira: The powerhouse from the Amazon

Are you looking for a type of wood that is both indestructible and aesthetically unique? Meet Sapupira. This South American hardwood is the ideal choice for those who do not want to choose between sustainability and a luxurious appearance.

What makes Sapupira unique?

Sapupira is often called the “dark force” among hardwoods. It has a deep, chocolate-brown color crisscrossed by fine, lighter lines. This gives the wood a beautiful, almost flame-like pattern that instantly adds atmosphere to any room.

The most important features at a glance

Extremely Sustainable: With natural resistance to fungi and insects, Sapupira falls into the highest durability classes (Class I/II).
Hard as nails: It is a very heavy and dense type of wood. This means it can take a beating; ideal for heavily used floors or structures.
Unique Look: The combination of the dark base and the light “streaks” (parenchymal tissue) gives the wood an exclusive, warm appearance.
Stable: Despite its hardness, the wood warps relatively little once it is properly dried and processed.
